How to Attain Liberation
Liberation and Enlightenment are not different aspect of the same thing but the very name of the same thing called Nirvana. Gautam Buddha Never said that I will help you to reach Ecstasy but said that I will end your sorrows, miseries and sadness.
Gautam Buddha's Way
Before Gautama Buddha, the Upanishads has described the God straightforwardly, he is true happiness, he is Ecstasy. But Gautama buddha changed the definition Because he knows that the people are not understanding the words of Upanishads. People have made happiness their Goal.
But Buddha said, the meaning of ultimate state is just there is no Sorrow. Don't talk about Happiness, there is just no Sorrows. Now understand the meaning of Buddha's words. Because Buddha Said the same words of Upanishads in different language. If someone says, there is Ecstasy and too much happiness, then the desire arises to get Ecstasy. But if someone says there is no sorrow then the heart Aches. The people will simply say, just no Sorrows? Only this? Please tell something that what will we get? But Buddha said, you will be Liberated from miseries, just this.
In deep down we can see that the words of the Upanishads and the Words of the Buddha are saying the same thing. But Buddha's words are bitter to lustful people. And still many peoples are reading Upanishads but are unable to understand the meaning of even a single sentence of the Upanishads.
Gautama Buddha tried to cut the root of Lust in humans and Buddha made a new language to describe the same thing. Buddha said, the name of the ultimate state is not "Moksha", it's "Nirvana". Why? Because the Meaning of moksha is that I will be but Liberated from everything, no bondages, no wife, no childrens, no family and no world. Only you are and enjoying the Ecstasy. But if you will be. Then there is no Liberation according to Gautama Buddha. That's why Buddha Said it's Nirvana. Nirvana means extinguished of lamp, you will extinguished like a lamp after Attaining Nirvana. You will not exist anymore. Now after hearing words, the lust arises in people's mind. Many peoples have said to Gautam that your words are so weird. If we will be not exist so why we should do Meditation and why we should do penance?. For nothing? Man wants to become fulfilled but you are saying to become Zero. To become something, man do something but you are saying to become nothing by meditation. People said that your teachings are not good. People says the Upanishads are right. Upanishad says that he is fulfilled, Complete and unlimited, if you remove something from that fulfilled so he is still fulfilled and if you add something to that Fulfilled so still he is complete. And people followed the Upanishads to be Complete because completeness gives more ego that people are unable to hurt their ego.
Upanishad says Completeness, Buddha Said Zero means Nirvana.
Upanishad says Happiness, Buddha said No Sorrows.
Upanishad says many many flowers will blossom, buddha said there will be no fork.
But Buddha said, the meaning of ultimate state is just there is no Sorrow. Don't talk about Happiness, there is just no Sorrows. Now understand the meaning of Buddha's words.
